In an effort to inculcate the muhibah spirit amongst our young, Pan Malaysian Pools organised a Unity Day activity, which brought children from three rural primary schools and the children of PMP staff together.
The aptly named Children-and-Staff-in-the-Community project saw the young ones enjoying themselves as they were treated to an animated movie entitled Spirit – the Stallion of the Cimaron at Tanjong Golden Village.
But the fun did not end there, as after the movie an art competition was held, where the kids created beautiful equine artworks based on the theme of the movie. Everyone was having so much fun, that the minutes just flew by and soon it was time to pick the winners of the competition. After cleaning their paint stained fingers, it was time to sit down for lunch. The air was filled with laughter and giggling and it was good to see the children enjoying themselves.
The purpose of this event was to promote the values of civic consciousness, social commitment towards those in need, teamwork and unity among children from different backgrounds, and this was certainly achieved through these fun-filled activities making it an enriching experience for all involved.
